Mar 21 2017
- ProFood Tech’s attendees can discover state-of-the-art food industry floors at booth 2544.
- Flowcrete Americas will showcase its Flowfresh range of antibacterial floors at the show.
- Head to booth 2544 to learn about specifying HACCP International certified materials.
On Booth 2544 of the inaugural ProFood Tech 2017, Flowcrete Americas will be demonstrating its range of high performance flooring solutions that have been designed to overcome the challenges faced within large-scale food and beverage facilities.
The exhibition, taking place at McCormick Place in Chicago from April 4th – 6th, provides food industry professionals with the opportunity to learn about the food processing sector’s latest trends, technologies and topics.
Centre stage on Flowcrete Americas stand will be the high performance, cementitious urethane range Flowfresh, which is able to maintain a hygienic, slip resistant and easy to clean finish. The hard wearing nature of Flowfresh means that it is ideal for withstanding the many potentially damaging factors that daily operations within food plants are likely to subject the floor to, such as extreme temperatures, corrosive by-products, point loading, physical impacts, frequent cleaning, traffic from heavy trolleys and more!
The Flowfresh range has been HACCP International certified thanks to its ability to retain an ultra-hygienic finish within food industry facilities. This means that businesses implementing a HACCP Food Safety Program can rest assured that a Flowfresh floor complies with the strict standards of the HACCP guidelines. To learn more about regulatory issues facing the food and beverage industry, attendees to Profood Tech should head to the Regulatory Matters area of the show’s Learning Hub.
To further minimize the possibility of a contamination incident, every Flowfresh floor includes the antimicrobial agent Polygiene®. Flowfresh has been proven to meet the ISO 22196 standard, which measures a surface’s antibacterial effectiveness on plastics and other non-porous surfaces.
Flowcrete Americas’ wide range of flooring solutions means that it has the answer for any flooring issue. This is a particular benefit in large-scale food and beverage facilities, which will more than likely need different finishes for different areas of the site.
This was the case recently at the Florida Beer Company, which installed 12,000 sq. ft. of Flowfresh SRQ in its central production hall and bottling plant as well as 27,000 sq. ft. of Flowcoat SF41 HCS in the brewery’s storage, packing and tank fermentation rooms. Flowcoat SF41 is ideal for facilities that require a colourful, multi-functional floor able to withstand the worst abuses of heavy industry.
Sites that need to refurbish the floor area but that cannot risk a prolonged shutdown can take advantage of the fast curing Flowfast range, which is able to create robust and high quality finishes in a fraction of the time that it would take to install alternative flooring materials.
